The Montgomery's of Charlotte County, N.B. Canada - An Historical Account ...

The FIRST generation of Montgomery's likely landed in St. Andrews, N.B in the early 1800's and soon had a significant family in Charlotte County, N.B., Canada. As records indicate they built a homestead in Rollingdam, N.B. , 21 miles north of St. Andrews. The family grew from there. Many assumptions can be made but what seems most likely is that William and James, who were likely brothers, were the first generation in Canada. The SECOND generation, Moses Lever Montgomery's, father, James Benjamin Montgomery (1834-1890) pictured to the left with his wife, Izetta Lever (1848-1908), are likely to be the first photographic records in the Montgomery familys' posession.
